Artist Statement
My work is centered on self-portraits, in which I focus on colorization, myself, organic shapes, and fluid movements. These portraits are a means to explore my emotions, likes, and dislikes, creating avatars that personify them. While I get to play with how I want to personify the pieces of myself, I also sometimes lie to the audience, making myself seem menacing or eerie. Through the embodiments themselves, I become an unreliable narrator.
